Husbands Bosworth is an 8 bed semi-detached property, situated in the town of Husbands Bosworth and accommodates transitional adults with Learning Difficulties. Husbands Bosworth is one of our new homes for 2006 for people aged between 16 - 25 for those in transition to adulthood.
The village is situated on the intersection of the A5199, Leicester to Northampton road, and the A4304, Lutterworth to Market Harborough Road.
Communal space comprises of 2 lounge areas and a dining room. In addition, there is a kitchen that all Service Users use to prepare meals, snacks and drinks or to work with staff to assist at meal times. There are 3 bathrooms and 2 rooms have en suite facilities.
Husbands Bosworth has a secure garden that the Service Users are encourage to take full advantage of.
The bedrooms comply with the National Minimum Standards for homes registered prior to August 2002 and are as follows:
Room 1: 13.03m²
Room 2: 11.92m²
Room 3: 20.85m²
Room 4: 11.28m²
Room 5: 10.7m²
Room 6: 11.39m²
Room 7: 11.49m²
Room 8: 21.76m²
Please note that all measurements are approximate.
Each bedroom has windows that can be opened by the Service User if they wish, though all windows have restrictors fitted for the protection of the Service User. The home has a cordless phone which is available for all Service Users to use in private should they wish.
Each Service User is provided with a wardrobe, chest of draws, two chairs, desk, lockable space, shelving, bed, bedding, towels, carpet and curtains. However the Service Users may choose to have more or less of these items should they wish.
Service Users may personalised and decorate their own room to their taste; including buying or bringing in furniture and electrical equipment, providing it meets with fire regulations and/PAT testing. Any person, including staff, wishing to enter these rooms must first obtain permission to enter the room from the Service User.
