A traditional detached house on a modern and private housing estate in a quiet private road in South Bretton, Peterborough.

Elliot Aveune is one of our new homes for 2005 for people aged between 16-30 but predominately for those in transition to adulthood (16-25).

The House offers 6 large fully en-suite bedrooms. Communal space comprises of a large lounge, a dining room and a fully equipped quiet study area. In addition there is a large domestic kitchen, utility room and a communal bathroom.

Elliot Avenue has an attractive and secure rear garden, a drive way and parking to the front of the house and additional parking to the side.

The bedrooms comply with the National Minimum Standards for homes registered prior to August 2002 and are as follows:

Room 1: 12.00m² (Ground Floor)
Room 2: 12.27m² (Ground Floor)
Room 3: 18.67m² (First Floor)
Room 4: 12.11m² (First Floor)
Room 5: 12.53m² (First Floor)
Room 6: 12.03m² (First Floor)

Please note that all measurements are approximate.

All bedrooms have an en-suite with mirror and shaving socket and have space for private study areas if required. Three of the bedrooms have their own showers and the remaining three have there own baths. Each bedroom has windows that can be opened by the Service User if they wish, though all windows have restrictors fitted for their protection. All bedroom doors are fitted with a lock, for which the Service User holds the key. These can be easily locked from the inside and outside. (Shift leaders hold a master key in case of emergencies). Each room has a minimum of three sockets and a television aerial socket.

The bedrooms do not have a telephone socket fitted; instead a cordless phone is available for all Service Users to use in private should they wish.

Each Service User is provided with a wardrobe, chest of draws, two chairs, desk, lockable space, shelving, bed, bedding, towelling, carpet and curtains. However the Service Users may elect to reject or add to these items should they wish. There may also be a reduction/increase in this provision if a specific risk/need is identified within their Individual Service User Care Plan and/or associated risk assessments.

All bedrooms are for single use only.

Service Users may personalise and decorate their own room to their own taste, including buying or bringing in furniture and electrical equipment, providing it meets with Fire regulations and/or PAT testing. Any persons, including staff, wishing to enter any bedrooms will obtain permission to enter the room from the Service User first. (Unless in the case of emergency or concern for the well being of the Service User).

Communal Space comprises of a large lounge of 26.22 sq Meters, a dinning room of 11.54 sq Meters and a study area of 6.74 sq Meters, which is equipped with IT equipment and other assisted technology and learning equipment with desks and storage areas. In addition there is a large domestic kitchen which all Service Users use to prepare meals, snacks and drinks or to work with staff to assist at meal times etc. There is a good-sized utility room with a sink on the ground floor and staff tiolet. There is also a large communal bathroom with WC, sink, bath and separate shower.

Elliot Avenue has a drive way at the front for the home vehicle and plenty of additional parking for staff and visitors. The house vehicle is an eight seater family people carrier. It is avalible 7 days a week (subject to staff drivers) and is regularly maintained and serviced.

To the rear of the house is an arractive and secured garden, which all Service Users are encouraged to take full advantage of.

There is also a Managers office on the first floor

The home is situated within a two minute walk of community shopping, social centres and other local facilities
