A traditional semi-detached 1930’s property with two large secure gardens.

The House consists of 5 single occupancy and 2 double occupancy bedrooms. Communal space comprises of a lounge and large dining room. In addition there is a domestic kitchen, communal bathroom and a seperate shower room on the ground floor and a bathroom and separate WC on the first floor.

Dean House has a large attractive and secure rear garden area that the Service Users are encouraged to make full use of.

The Bedrooms comply with the National Minimum Standards for homes registered prior to August 2002 and are as follows:

Room 1: 10m² - Single Occupancy (Ground Floor)
Room 2: 10m² - Single Occupancy (Ground Floor)
Room 3: 10m² - Single Occupancy (Ground Floor)
Room 4: 9m² - Single Occupancy (First Floor)
Room 5: 11m² - Single Occupancy (First Floor)
Room 6: 16m² - Double Occupancy (Ground Floor)
Room 7: 18m² - Double Occupancy (First Floor)

Please note that all measurements are approximate.

Each Service User is provided with a bed, wardrobe, chest of draws, two chairs, a desk, lockable space, shelving, bedding, towelling, carpet and curtains. However the Service Users may elect to reject or add to these items should they wish. There may also be a reduction/increase in this provision if a specific risk/need is identified within their Service User care plan and/or associated risk assessments. Each room has a minimum of two double sockets and a television aerial socket.

The bedrooms do not have a telephone socket fitted; instead a cordless phone is available for all Service Users to use in private should they wish.

Each bedroom has a window that can be opened by the Service User if they wish, though all windows have restrictors fitted for their protection. All bedroom doors are fitted with a lock, for which the Service User holds the key. These can be locked from the inside and outside. (Shift leaders hold a master key in case of emergencies).

Service Users may personalise and decorate their own room to their own taste, including buying or bringing in furniture and electrical equipment, providing it meets with Fire regulations and/or PAT testing. Any persons, including staff, wishing to enter any bedrooms will obtain permission to enter the room from the Service User first. (Unless in the case of emergency or concern for the well being of the Service User).

Communal Space comprises of a lounge, and a large dinning room. The domestic kitchen is used by all Service Users use to prepare meals, snacks and drinks or to work with staff to assist at meal times etc. In addition there is a communal bathroom and a seperate shower room on the ground floor and a bathroom and separate WC on the first floor.
