Brambling Way is a 9 Bed detached property. Situated in Oadby, Leicester and accommodates adults with Learning Difficulties.
Communal space comprises of an open plan style kitchen/lounge with a conservatory extension, which is used as the dining area. All Service Users use this area to prepare meals, snacks and drinks or to work with staff to assist at meal times. There are bathroom and toilet facilities on both floors and two rooms have en suite facilities.
Brambling Way has a secured garden area, that the Service Users are encouraged to take full advantage of.
The bedrooms comply with the National Minimum Standards for homes registered prior to August 2002 and are as follows:
Room 1: 12.39m²
Room 2: 12.27m²
Room 3: 10.53m²
Room 4: 17.78m² (Double Occupancy)
Room 5: 10.46m²
Room 6: 12.25m²
Room 7: 21.98m² (Double Occupancy)
Please note that all measurements are approximate.Each Service User is provided with a wardrobe, chest of draws, two chairs, desk, lockable space, shelving, bed, bedding, towels, carpet and curtains. However the Service Users may choose to have more or less of these items should they wish. There may also be a reduction/increase in this provision if a specific risk/need is identified within their Service User care plan and/or associated risk assessments.
The bedrooms do not have a telephone socket fitted, instead a cordless phone is available for all Service Users to use in private should they wish.
Service Users may personalised and decorate their own room to their own taste; including buying or bringing in furniture and electrical equipment, providing it meets with fire regulations and/or PAT testing. Any person, including staff, wishing to enter these must first obtain permission to enter the room from the Service User.
