Magnolia Bungalow - Biggleswade
Built in 2005, this 2-bedroom bungalow is in the grounds of the main residential home. Set back from a quiet road the bungalow provides support to two individuals who wish to live in a smaller, more independent enviroment, with the ulitimate goal of independence or supported living. The bungalow is staffed only during waking hours and staff work with Service Users to develop independent living skills. The bungalow is itself a registered home and offers a balance of increased independence whilst having the support of staff at the main house.
The bungalow comprises two good-sized bedrooms, a comfortable lounge, a fitted kitchen and a communal bathroom. Both bedrooms additionally have an en-suite toilet and sink. Service Users share the large and attractive garden.
Bedrooms have fitted carpets and curtains and are additionally provided with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, two chairs, desk, lockable space, shelving, a bed, bedding and towels. Each individual may personalise and decorate their own bedroom to their own taste, including buying or bringing in furniture and electrical equipment, providing it meets with fire regulations and/or PAT testing. Bedrooms are for single occupancy only.
The bungalow is in a very quiet location yet is just 500 metres from Biggleswade town cerntre, with its full range of shopping and leisure facilities.
