Statement of Purpose

Community Care Solutions Ltd was established by Mark Constant on 11th December 2000 to provide residential care services to adults with Learning Disabilities, Associated Challenging Behaviours or physical disabilities. Mark Constant established the company after eight years as a consultant providing advice and support to a number of residential and social care providers. He believed that a better service could, and should, be provided to give individuals a real opportunity to develop their independence and life skills to enable them to enjoy many more of the freedoms and experiences that most of us take for granted.

Initially establishing a home in Rushden for 8 adults with Learning Disabilities, in July 2001 Community Care Solutions purchased two more existing homes in Bedford and Biggleswade followed by a further two in Derby in September 2002. Community Care Solutions has continued to grow year-on-year, and in 2008 we increased the number of residential homes we operate to thirteen.

The company’s Head Office is based in the centre of St. Neots in a self-contained Georgian town house. St Neots has an excellent road and rail infrastructure which enables us to support our growing network of residential care homes.

Community Care Solutions’ Head Office houses a full complement of highly qualified management and support staff. This team provides close support to Home Managers and staff and frees them to focus solely on the needs of our Service Users. This ensures an exceptionally high level of personal service and care.

Our Head Office comprises dedicated departments to manage Human Resources, Recruitment, Training, Quality Assurance, Communication, Housing and Accounts.

The company also has its own independent Service Users’ Monies Officer, who is employed by the company, but who is not part of any other department. This individual acts at all times in the interests of the Service Users to ensure their individual financial accounts and affairs are properly maintained and audited. The Service Users’ Monies Officer also acts as appointee for Service Users where applicable and deals with all correspondence with the Department of Works and Pensions, resolving any Income Support, DLA or other benefit issues on behalf of our Service Users.

Community Care Solutions does not currently provide nursing care or therapeutic techniques within our homes. However, a full range of professional medical, psychological and therapeutic assistance is provided as required by professionally qualified practitioners within the community.

A full Statement of Purpose for each residential service is available on the individual Home pages.
