19-03-2006 – The Woodlands and Husbands Bosworth raise money

The Service Users and Staff at Woodlands residential home raised a considerable sum of money for the Derbyshire Association of the Blind, during their fundraising month. They arranged a sponsored walk around Derby and held a raffle at a local post office.

Husbands Bosworth decided to raise money for Cancer Research by washing cars during the month of March. They also arranged a fun day on the 18th March and managed to raise £148 on that day.

19-02-2006 – Beechwood refurbishment complete

Over the past few months the residential home in Alvaston, Derby has seen major internal developments from installing en suite bathrooms to redecorating the lounge and dining rooms. Area Manager, Chris Perks stated:” The changes which have taken place at Beechwood have seen the standard of the home raised even further, continuing in the line with the quality you would expect to find within a Community Care Solutions Home.”

19-01-2006 – Communitycare Live Adult Care Services exhibition

community care live On the 26th January 2006, Community Care Solutions attended the CommunityCare Live Adult Care Services Exhibition at the Business Design Centre, Islington in London. This Social Care Study Day and Exhibition was brand new for 2006. The event provided a valuable opportunity for everyone involved in delivering adult care services to come together to debate the big issues, share best practice and network. – Peter Pan and Cinderella productions

Peter PanOn Friday 20th January, Service Users from Oakley and the new Peterborough Drama Group entertained a large audience at Oakley Village Hall with two drama productions of the magical fairytale classics Peter Pan and Cinderella, in one drama night extravaganza! The night was a great success for both drama groups and proved hugely entertaining for the audience who joined in with the fun with a full village hall Okey Cokey!
