19-12-2002 – Committed to Training and Development

Community Case Solutions were very proud to sponsor 2 awards at this years Bedford College Achievements Awards. The Awards sponsored were in the Care and Development sector were presented to Kevin Odell for Student who has Demonstrated Outstanding Progression in CRONCNAC and Louise Rayner for Student who has Demonstrated Outstanding Progression in BTEC Diploma in Caring.

18-12-2002 – Promotion through quality

Rosana Goodyear has been promoted to Quality Manager of all Community Care Solutions Residential Homes. This new role will incorporate the requirements of Regulation 26 under the new National Care Standards and internal audits in line with Community Care Solutions ISO9000:2000 Quality System. Rosana takes on this role full time following her successful management of one of our home in Biggleswade.

19-10-2002 – Lots of fun for Halloween

On Halloween, the residents at Oaklands held a party and invited others from Aspen and Magnolia into their home for some spooky fun. The party was a great success with residents having fun dressing up and playing traditional Halloween games such as “bob the apple”.

19-08-2002 – From Senior to Manager

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Michelle Jackson from Senior Support Worker to Home Manager of Oaklands Road.

18-08-2002 – Promotion to New Home

Stephen Hillier has been promoted to Manager of Aspen House, Community Care Solutions largest home. His previous post was as Manager of Oaklands Road

19-05-2002 – 100% Occupancy

May sees 100% occupancy across the Community Care Solutions group of homes. 19-03-2002 – Drama Group Success

The drama group repeat the success of their Christmas Productions with their own special production of ‘The Easter Bunny’. This production took place on both 27th March at the Putnoe Heights Church Day Centre and 28th March at Oakley Village Hall, again produced and directed by Kevin Burke. As usual all the residents had individual parts and each got into their roles very well. There was a good turnout and the audience were given the opportunity to participate in the singing such as; ‘Hi- ho, hi -ho’

– Get Surfing!

Community Care Solutions launch their Web Site and implement a new secure intranet document management system. As part of Community Care Solutions ongoing strategy to integrate modern technology with traditional quality care, we are delighted that our new Intranet Document Management System and Website are now fully operational. This new system enables documents to be accessed directly from the server via a secure intranet connection, meaning that all Units at all times will have access to up to date information and Head Office will have full access to up to date Home Reporting information. This new system should enable evermore-efficient operations leaving more time for Resident-focused services.

– Oaklands Promotions

We are delighted to announce two promotions at Oaklands Road. Mr. Ian Tarr has been confirmed as the Home Manager for Oakland’s Residential Home and we wish him all the success for the future. Ian has been with Oaklands Road for 6 years, recently as Home Leader. Sheira Plentie has been promoted to the post of Senior Support Worker. Sheira has worked at Oaklands for over Three years and has a B-Tec National Diploma in Social Care. She has also worked for the past twelve months as an Administration Assistant to the Company’s Managing Director. In addition to Sheira’s role as Senior Support Worker at Oaklands, she will still maintain her links with the industry’s National Training Organisation TOPSS as the administrator for the London Forum. We wish both Ian and Sheira every success in their new roles.

– Residents cut a disc

Community Care Solutions Residents’, who attend the Bedford Garden Carers Centre, have this week recorded a record. The record, which will be released during the week 3rd June, and is a re-release of the well-known tune - ‘ I am what I am’, was recorded at Great Linford Manor Recording Studios with help of local musician Paul Bell and his band, the tune will be used as the signature tune for the Mencap Awareness week and will be available at local outlets within Bedfordshire.
